Hey Everyone!
I hope that all of you have had great weeks!
This week has been rather interesting.
On Saturday we got to visit a lot of northern
members, including a really cool Hmong family. They were all doing well and are
such amazing members who come from almost two hours away every week to go to
church.
On Sunday we had a Skype call with President
Hammond. It went really well and we talked a lot about the work in Laos and the
goals that we have for it. There are going to be so many great things happening
here within the next year that we're here.
We also got to visit a family member of Elder
Phasay's, who is on his dad's side of the family. That was way cool, because he
had never met anyone from that side of his family (because his dad died when he
was young and he then moved to America). They were all so happy to see this kid
that they hadn't seen for almost 15 years.
The rest of the week had kind of been an
English teaching grind. On Friday we were able to go and play soccer with a lot
of English students for an activity though, and that was really fun.
A really awesome talk that you all should read
through is "The Challenge to Become" by President Oaks in 2001. It
talks about how a lot of times we think of the church as something that will
help us to know something, but more importantly, it should help us to become
someone who is better than we are now.
I love all of you! I hope you have a great
week and try to serve and love other people. Keep being amazing. Stay frosty.✌🏼
Love and miss ya,
Elder Ridd
