Oh hey!
This week was pretty solid. The biggest things that happened this week were President Hammond coming up to Laos and having tons
of meetings with the government. Not too much happened in the meetings, but
that didn't stop them from having at least 7 in the past 3 days. Just lots of
talk and bureaucracy with the Lao Government. Claaaassic.
We were able to have a fireside at the church
with President Hammond though, so that was pretty good. We had sort of a Family
Home Evening type activity. President Hammond, Sister Hammond, her sister, and
her sister's husband all came out for it. The biggest thing they talked about
was the parable of the wise man and the foolish man building their houses on
different foundations. The members really liked it and at the end of it
President had Elder Eckersley and I teach all the members the primary song
"Do As I'm Doing" in Lao since I've pretty much been the music leader
for sharing time for the past year hahaha. It was pretty funny to see all of
the old Lao grandmas and older people following these little Lao kids' random
actions.
I also had my last interview with President
Hammond. Definitely a strange feeling, but it seems to be getting more real
that I'll be going home in a few weeks. Very weird feeling hahaha.
I love you all! I hope you have good weeks!
