Hi!
This week has been pretty
interesting. Not too much has gone on since Monday, so I don't have a whole lot
to write about. We have pretty much been only teaching English and then coming
home to hide out because the government here is putting some crazy restrictions
on us right now. They're pretty much watching us all the time, so that's
fun.
Our week was pretty good.
Very slow with not much to do though. No news on how the government is doing.
We are hoping that things get better though. The English classes are going
well. We haven't had any more auditors spying on us. Church is good! We have
two people interviewing tomorrow to be baptized next week. That should be
good!
We might be going
slightly insane here because that's a lot of time to be cooped up in an
apartment with four dudes that you've been with for a year straight, but we try
to make the most of it.
Here's a neat quote that I found in the talk "The Nobility of Man in Choosing Good Over Evil" by Alvin R. Dyer from General Conference in October 1971:
"Man in the sum
result of what he thinks and does. Habit is the instrument that molds his
character and makes of him essentially what he is. Habit can become a monster
to tarnish and destroy, yet proper behavioral traits can bring lasting joy and
achievement. To say no at the right time and then stand by it is the first
element of success."
I thought that was pretty
neat. I encourage you all to make good habits and try to keep them.
Also, shout out to all
you Moms out there. You guys are dope. Keep killin it.
Love you all,
Elder Ridd
Sorry, no pics. I dunno
what I'd take a picture of while under house arrest.
